It takes approximately 10–20 minutes to complete.

What does personality refer to?

The concept of personality refers to the qualities associated with a person’s character. It describes the way in which one can be expected to respond to situations and other people, the types of things, people and activities one enjoys and one’s emotional orientation. In addition, it influences the way in which one gathers information, makes decisions and pursues goals. Personality does not necessarily indicate intellectual capability, though.

Measuring Personality

The Self-description Assessment is an a-typical computerised assessment that has been devised for recruitment purposes on social networks. It involves the selection of terms / descriptive words which best describe your personality. The results are linked to a number of existing models of personality functioning, including those of Cattell, Jung, Myss, Belbin and the Enneagram.

Self-description Report

A report is provided which describes the personality as well as the interpersonal and work-related characteristics of the person. Aspects such as your worldview, emotions, defences, motivation and team role preferences are addressed.

Using the Self-description Report

For Individuals

  • Enhance self-insight
  • Recruit partners for dating
  • Form interest groups
  • Find activity and/ or business partners

For Businesses

  • Identify suitable candidates for a particular job
  • Use the results for people development, coaching or team building purposes.

Confidentiality

The results of your assessments are completely confidential and your identity will not be shared with anyone without your prior consent.

Disclaimer

The validity of the results depends on the honesty and self-insight of the test subject. The results are situational and largely reflect how a person responds to his/ her current circumstances. The assessment can be taken repeatedly if necessary.

Motivation Assessment

The Motivation Assessment evaluates various aspects of motivation through the selection of well-known metaphors or roles.

Completion Time

It takes 20 – 30 minutes to complete and is quick, easy and fun to do.

Cost

A Motivation Report is provided free of charge during the beta testing phase.

What does "Motivation" refer to?

The concept of “motivation” refers to the dynamics involved in how a person’s energy is directed to achieve certain goals. It involves needs, motives, desires, attitudes, behaviour and awareness which may be physiologically, psychologically and/ or culturally rooted and may vary in terms of focus and intensity.

Measuring Motivation

The Motivation Assessment is an a-typical computerised assessment technique which involves the selection of well-known metaphors, “archetypes” or roles to describe one’s own functioning in the contexts of work, relationships and life in general. The selected metaphors, or roles, are rank ordered and weighted in terms of various criteria.

It draws from a variety of theoretical contributions and bodies of knowledge, including the work of Jung on archetypes, Myss on energy and spiritual awareness, Shalit and Lazarus on motivation, various authors on consciousness, views on Integrity, transactional analysis and the Enneagram.

Motivation Report

A report is provided which indicates both strengths and development areas in terms of one’s life scripts, self-awareness, energy themes, motivational drivers, defence mechanisms, self-presentation, emotional intelligence and personality.

Using the Motivation Report

For Individuals

  • Enhance self-insight
  • Recruit partners for dating
  • Form interest groups
  • Find activity and/or business partners

For Businesses

  • Identify suitable candidates for a particular job
  • Use the results for people development, coaching or team building purposes.

Confidentiality

The results of your assessments are completely confidential and your identity will not be shared with anyone without your prior consent.

Disclaimer

The assessment of motivation is relatively non-transparent and can therefore not easily be manipulated. The validity of the results, however, depends on the honesty and self-insight of the subject. The results of the Motivation Assessment are situational and largely reflect how a person responds to his/ her current circumstances.
